Mandrill
This colourful design with two Mandrill monkeys by a river is charming!
Do you know that many people mistake the Mandrill for the Baboon? They do look very similiar, but there are enough differences that put them in a class of their own and they are the largest species of Monkey in the world.
The Mandrill monkeys are very social animals and can live in large groups. The mothers and daughters form especially strong groups and remain close their entire lives. They can often be seen socialising with each other; playing, chatting and grooming each other. Those friendships are a big part of why there is little female conflict in the Mandrill groups.
